Diary of the dead (2007)
       Romero is the man! He is the go to zombie king, but I think as he ages, his mind is going and he isnt thinking straight, because this movie was fucking horrible. I wasn’t even tired when I started watching this and I fell asleep. IT PUT ME TO SLEEP!!! The story? Some film students are filming a cheesy horror movie and come into contact with real zombies, and the world going to shit. It has SO much potential, but did not follow through.
I had high hopes for this movie, although everyone said it was pretty bad. I should have listened. Want to waste you time doing something? Jerk off! Cut your wrists! Read the bible, but DON’T watch this movie. This adjourns this “review”

House of 1000 Corpses (2003)

This is Rob Zombie’s first movie as a director.

As two young couples take a a road trip through the back roads of America to find the most bizarre side attractions they meet captain Spaulding (one of the better characters of the movie) he tells them an urban legend of someone named Dr. Satan and the tree he was hung at wasn’t too far away. They head out to this tree where they pick up a hitchhiker named baby. When the car breaks down, baby tells them that it’ll be ok and her brother can tow their car.

That’s the start of a trip to hell for these two young couples. As baby takes them to her home and introduces them to her family they become feeling uneasy. As they wanted to know the story of Dr. Satan they get something better! Instead of just stories, they get to meet the doctor himself!

The movie is filled with suspense, some torture, and it really picks up towards the end. That’s really my favorite part of it, that’s when it boils down to a few survivors and their will to survive. This movie is a great debut from Rob Zombie, with a lot of fast paced violence, a lot of sexual references, also a lot of homage to old horror films. Gracious nudity, gore, but what separates this movie from most are the characters. The family is just insane. If you haven’t seen this movie I suggest you do so!

The Devils Rejects (2005)

A sequel to House of 1000 Corpses. This movie starts off with such a fast start. The police surround the Firefly home, and light the place up. While three of them escape they catch mama firefly and charge her for murder, and the disappearance of over 1,000 people. While Otis and Baby escape they get a hold of Captain Spaulding, he tells them to meet up at a motel so they can figure a way out.

This movie is just violence at its finest. While the police interrogate mama firefly they are anything but friendly. Baby, Otis, and Spaulding try to escape throughout the whole movie. Leaving a bloody rampage everywhere they go. Lots of blood, lots of gore, some nudity, and a lot of awesome dialogue between the characters. Yes, they are bad guys, and yes they are killers, but after a while you really start feeling bad for them. Their whole life turns to shit while they have the FBI after them, law enforcements, and even two hit men after them.

The movie is really character driven, especially Captain Spaulding, and Otis. Two of the best characters in the movie, also two of the most fucked up twisted dudes in the movie. They love torture, smacking people around, and they have such filthy mouths.

The ending is insane, if you haven’t seen this one please do so! This is Rob Zombie’s best film. Loaded with violence, gore, suspense, and tons of shock moments.
